Epcot - one of the four theme parks at Disney World - is the quarter of some major celebrations and decorations at Christmas time, such as Holidays around the World, Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights; Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the Candlelight Processional etc. All of the celebrations are continued from November through to January. At the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights, there's a flurry of sparkling lights shining in falling snow in the Disney-MGM Studios theme park.
This display goes back to Little Rock Arkansas in 1986, when entrepreneur Jennings Osborne strung up 1000 red lights for his 6-year-old daughter. Guests are treated to millions of lights on trees, carousels, Mickey, Santa, and lots more, plus "Florida snow".
The Candlelight Processional is an annual tradition, a retelling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator accompanied by a choir and a 50-piece orchestra. This year's bash in the Magic Kingdom comprises of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party including a parade, holiday entertainment, fireworks, family photos and snow.
