Ralphie is a boy of ten years whose Christmas is not so happening because he hasn’t got BB Ryder gun on Christmas. This underlines the storyboard of Ralphie Christmas story that starts with one fine Christmas of his childhood. Actually, Ralphie Christmas story is in reference with the movie ‘A Christmas Story’.
Ralphie is the protagonist in the movie. The film is about the kid Ralphie Parker who only wants one thing this Christmas: an official Red Ryder, carbine action BB gun. Every one tells him that he will shoot his eye out and this forms the storyline of ‘A Christmas story’. The story actually begins with this desire of the little boy who tries every conceivable way to get what he really wants for Christmas.

When Ralphie asks his mother for BB gun for Christmas, she says, “ No, you will shoot your eye out”. When he writes an essay about it at school his teacher gives him a ‘C’ grade with a note saying, “ You will shoot your eye out”. Next he asks Santa for the gun and Santa too gives the familiar response and says, “ you will shoot your eye out kid”. Ralph fears that he will never get the BB gun for Christmas but there may be a surprise in store for him.
Ralphie Christmas story goes through the life of Ralphie in the weeks preceding Christmas as he deftly tries to maneuver his family, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself into believing it's the perfect gift idea to give a kid a gun.
