Christmas Story Brick Testaments refer to the representation of the Christmas stories through Bricks. Artists illustrate the entire Bible using only bricks. The brick Virgin Mary conceives a child through the Holy Spirit; Joseph and Mary travel to Bethlehem with a brick donkey; the brick Baby Jesus is visited in the brick manger by the three brick Wise Men and so on.
The Brick Testament has been created entirely by Powell Smith who builds all the characters and settings out of LEGO bricks, then photographs them to create the illustrated stories. These stories can be found on the Brick testament website and book series.

The purpose of the Brick Testament Christmas Stories is very much near to the true essence of Christmas. Smith has stated that the goal of The Brick Testament is to give people an increased knowledge of the contents of The Bible in a way that is fun and compelling while staying very true to the original versions.
To this end, all Brick Testament Christmas stories are retold using direct quotes from The Bible. In the few instances where characters are portrayed as saying or thinking words that are not direct quotes from the Bible, such text is displayed in gray instead of the usual black.
Thus, Brick Testament Christmas stories are a tribute to the Bible with its evident Christmas stories.
