The story line up of the film “The year without a Santa Claus” deals with the fact that Santa Claus once became exhausted and felt he was unappreciated by the children. This belief of him compelled him to take a year off from Christmas. Mrs. Claus failed to persuade him and then send the elves Jingle and Jangle and the reindeer Vixen to bring proof from the earth that Children still admire the festival of Christmas. The elves after narrowly escaping from the clutches of the villains Heat Miser and Snow Miser reached South Town, USA.
A policeman ticketed the elves there and Vixen was thrown into an animal pound. When Santa Claus came to learn about their misfortune he rose up from bed for their rescue. Santa taking the disguise of a human started to search for his companions. The healing medicine he received during his search was a generous family who still believed in the spirit of Christmas. The film criticized the people’s decreasing generosity and brought into light the changing state of people’s mind.
