There is hardly any soul who doesn't like munching on to some of the most delicious and mouth-watering cookies during the festive season. But it would probably be an injustice to relegate the importance of the cookies to Christmas alone.

But if you are of the impression that, makng cookies is a tiresome deal and a near impossible feat besides being immensely time consuming, you are not totally correct cause though there is no denying of the fact that some of the cookie preparations are bone breaking in the real senses of the term but let it not discourage you. We have made your work a lot easier by sifting through the huge corpus of magazines, cookbooks and things of the like and we have short listed the recipes of a few of the cookies that are easy to make and takes the least toll on time. Biscottis are the easiest to prepare and all you require are some of the basic ingredients that are available in most of the grocery stores of the town.
Cherry Nut Biscotti
Ingredients:
2 eggs
5 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup raisins
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup nuts
2 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped candied cherries
1/2 cup orange juice
Procedure:
Beat the eggs and add the rest of the ingredients to it. Make dough out of the mixture and divide it into 4 pieces. Shape them into bars by rolling it into a long log and place the logs on to a greased cookie sheet. Apply mixture of egg yolk and water on the top and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees F and cut the logs into 1/2-inch slices. Go back to the baking sheet and cook until toasted for about 20 to 30 minutes.
