- Blueberry Liqueur:
For making a refreshing drink, you will need fresh blueberries, sugar, brandy, fresh lemon juice and light corn syrup. First you need to crush the berries, preferably with a wooden spoon and allow it to settle for an hour. Then you will have to add the rest of the ingredients to it. This mixture has to stand for two weeks, after which you can stain out the solid traces of the mixture. Strain the liquid part and again store it in a closed container for over two weeks. Serve the liqueur only after it is a month old.
- Buttered Cinnamon Cider:
The main ingredients for preparing this drink are apple juice or apple cider, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon liqueur, apricot nectar and allspice. Mix all the ingredients and cook it in a low flame for approximately five hours. Just as you are ready for serving it to your guests, heat butter and cinnamon liqueur in a small container and add a spoon of it in each cup. You can also garnish it with lemon or orange slices.
- Custard Eggnog:
This is a very healthy and light drink but will be ideal to be served in a Christmas dinner party. The main ingredients needed for this are flour, sugar, eggs and only egg whites, skimmed milk, and vanilla extract. Boil milk and add the other ingredients and stir continuously until a smooth paste is formed. You need o cook this over a low flame for 15 minutes until the mixture thickens. Finally you can cool it and sprinkle vanilla and nuts before serving.
