heodor Seuss Geisel, commonly referred to as Dr Suess or by his other pen names, Theo.LeSieg and Rosetta Stone was a famous American writer and cartoonist whose children's books and comic strips earned him acclaim as a world famous cartoonist.

So popular were his characters that a postage stamp depicting him with the pictures of his characters in the backdrop has been issued by the United States Government. Though initially hesitant, Dr Seuss did authorize Chuck Jones, a famous cartoon artist to make animated versions of a few of his selected pieces.

Some of them were, How the Grinch stole Christmas! his masterpiece which featured as a classic in the catalog of the annual Christmas Television Specials with The Lorax and The Cat in the Hat closely following suit. Even years after his death, he is still a hot favorite and Dr Seuss books and characters are up on display in the Islands of Adventure Theme Park, Orlando in Florida which is popularly known as the Seuss Landing Island.

But you would be caught on the wrong foot if you were under the impression that his books are essentially for the kids. It's also meant for the young at hearts too. The Seven Lady Godivas, Oh, The Places You'll Go!, and the last book You're Only Old Once have been written keeping an adult audience in mind and are basically satires on Hospitals and geriatric lifestyle.

Provided below are a few of his Christmas Quotes which are excerpts from some of his famous books.

And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
