Though a stop-motion musical animation, The Night Before Christmas received world acclaim and was nominated for best original score in the 1994 Golden Globes and also featured as a nominee in the Oscars for Visual Effects.But surprisingly, it’s fame fell short of a typical Walt Disney movie. As years went by its fan following reached unscalable heights and its merchandise sold like hot cakes all over the world. There has been much hype about the movie recently as it’s 3D- Version is due for release on 20th October,2006. The theme of the movie revolves around how the allegedly bad guys i.e the powerhouses of the Halloween Town bring Christmas to their land and though their ways had been weird ,their intentions were noble which ultimately lead them to triamph over all odds.
The Night Before Christmas Songs are funny and are bound to inspire you. Though essentially considered as a feel good movie for kids and the lighthearted, it metaphorically deals with the real essence of Christmas. Jack Skellington, the leader of the Halloween Town takes the center stage and all the activities revolve around him, with he being responsible for ushering in Christmas in the Halloween Town.
Most of the songs are downloadable and can serve as ideal ring tones. But the song, which brought The Night Before Christmas into limelight, was the theme song written and composed by Danny Elfman that still remains a hot favorite for any Halloween party in town.
