The first visitor gets a warm welcome and is also given gifts. New Year parties in Europe are characterized by large amount of noise as people love to welcome the New Year with lots of noise. The Northern Europe has its famous New Year ceremony called ‘Up-Helly-Aa’.

New Year in Australia

Australia is famous for its New Year celebrations. All the major Australian cities become the most happening places in the world during the New Year. Sydney sees the second largest New Year celebration in the world with more than 80,000 fireworks lit the famous Sydney Harbor Bridge.
