The solo tracks are excellent the six duets make this album stand out among many wonderful Christmas albums. Dolly wrote five of the songs especially for the album. I believe in Santa Claus and With Bells On are rollicking, up-tempo songs. Christmas Without You is a reflective song about missing somebody. A Christmas to remember is another upbeat song. Once upon a Christmas is a stirring song about the birth of Jesus. The Greatest Gift of All (the only song among the duets that Dolly didn't write) is a lovely romantic ballad, which was covered a year later by Lee Greenwood for his excellent Christmas to Christmas album.
The Perfect Partner too is an album by Dolly Parton. Others constitute The Merry Christmas track with Stay Another Day by East 17, Step Into Christmas by Elton John, Do They Know It's Christmas? by Band Aid, Last Christmas by Whigfield, Christmas Wrapping by Waitresses etc. These are selections of old and new artists put together on one album that can be played over and over again to remind you of your best Christmas.
