Debuted in 1933, it was originally performed as a holiday “gift” to the audience before movie screenings. The Christmas Spectacular began its current format of a full 90-minute live stage production in 1979 and continues to break box office records. During its 9-week run at the Music Hall, the show draws more than one million people. Christmas Hall Radio City Music shows are now part of each and every Christmas in the United States of America.
