Easter is one of the greatest festivals of the Christians. It is celebrated in the month of April and it symbolizes the resurrection of Christ the redeemer. Easter is also a time for shopping. In most Christian countries, the mid term shopping sale takes place during the Easter weekend. They are a major part of Easter celebrations. Shopping malls, departmental stores, supermarkets and even small shops offer rebates and discounts on a wide range of local and foreign made products.
As Easter is the time for celebrations, the nightclubs, bars and pubs become flooded with people. Plenty of cultural events and functions and cultural are held to mark the event. Traditional performances, depicting the resurrection of Christ, from the Bible are held in the rural areas and villages.
Lots of people also go for trips during the Easter weekend. The tourist spots are flooded with travelers during Easter. To cater to travelers, they also offer discounts and rebates of lodging facilities.
