One of the most significant celebrations Easter generally falls on a Sunday and this falls on the full moon night during the spring season. Although the dates of Easter changes every year yet the spirit with which it is celebrated among the people remains same throughout.
Easter is celebrated on a Sunday that falls during the period March 22 to April 25th. It is believed that earlier the Christians celebrated Easter on all Sundays with certain ceremonial practices like reading scriptures, psalms and kneel down to offer prayers. A day of each year was taken to celebrate the resurrection. The Roman governor Pontius Pilate ordered that Christ be crucified. It was after three days that the resurrection came and the day was a Sunday.
When Jesus was crucified there were some people who could not bear to see the sight and thus covered his body with a cloth and kept it in a cave thereby covering it with a huge stone. After a period of three days the people were astonished to find the stone move away from the actual place. A message was then conveyed from a messenger of god about the resurrection of Christ. It is for this reason that people celebrate Easter on Sunday.
