The snacks can be preserved for a longer duration if placed in airtight containers. So gear up for the grand fiesta and make delectable snacks that will delight your near and dear ones.
Peppery Popcorn recipe:
Ingredients:
2 tablespoon corn oil
2 garlic cloves, split
Salt
Dash ground pepper
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 cup popping corn
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup hot pepper sauce
In a large heavy pot, heat corn oil and olive oil over high heat until the oil smokes. Add 1 kernel popping corn and heat until kernel pops. Add split garlic cloves and rest of popping corn, cover pot, and shake gently until corn starts to pop. Shake vigorously until popping subsides. Remove from heat. Remove garlic. Mix hot pepper sauce with melted butter. Toss popcorn with minced garlic, cayenne, black pepper, salt and hot pepper/butter.

Buttered Honey Nuts recipe:
Ingredients:
6 ounces shelled unsalted nuts
1 tablespoon butter
1-tablespoon honey
Spread nuts on cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees F for 15 minutes.
Mix butter and honey; pour over nuts. Stir until nuts are completely coated with the mixture. Store in airtight container.
Yields about 1 1/3 cups.
