Easter Salad Recipes





There could be nothing more wonderful than having all kinds of salads and staying healthy this festive season. Salads are perfect for the diet conscious people and are light foods that are taken during the meals. During Easter one gets indulged in eating almost all recipes and the Easter salads should not be left out. Easter is just the right time to relish all the recipes.
Healthy foods like salads ensure a healthy body and away from the risk of various diseases. It is due to this reason that the doctors and other health experts recommend eating lots of salads and other less calorie items in the diet. Since salads generally comprise of various juicy fruits and freshly cut vegetables they are a healthy diet and are a must to be taken. Make merry this Easter by having luscious salad recipes and get into the festive mood.

Bunny Salad:

Ingredients:

lettuce
1 can pear halves
whole cloves
almond halves
cottage cheese


Method:

Put a lettuce leaf on a plate.
Lay half a pear on lettuce flat side down.
Place a clove on each side of the narrow part of the pear for eyes (2 cloves).
Add two almond halves for the ears.
Use 1-teaspoon cottage cheese for a tail.

Broccoli Salad:

Ingredients:

1 pound broccoli slaw (sold in a bag in the produce department)
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup chopped onions
2 packages beef Ramen noodles
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
cayenne pepper (a few shakes)

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine broccoli slaw, sunflower seeds, and chopped onions. Make dressing from the seasoning packets from the 2 packages beef Ramen noodles and pour dressing over salad; crumble the Ramen noodles and serve on top of each serving.
