People also make use of Easter lilies to adorn their homes and other surroundings. The lilies are also placed in the churches.
Having an Easter feast would be incomplete without the lamb. One can find a lamb shaped cake adorned on the table in many homes during Easter. People take great delight in having a sumptuous feast.
A parade is organized in which people wear intricate dresses. This is one of the customs that is followed by the people especially in North America. A parade known as the Mardi Gras parade captures everyone's attention and begins in New Orleans.
Yet another famous custom that is followed during Easter is exchange and eating of delicious Easter eggs that are beautifully decorated. The eggs are also used in playing games and making crafts.
The common custom that is followed by the people is wearing new clothes and other accessories. This custom enlivens the real spirit of the celebration, as everyone looks stunningly attractive in his or her new attire.
Ringing of bells is another important custom the people follow. The bells are rung in churches to let everyone know that Jesus is alive.
The Easter baskets are filled with candies and other goodies for kids to come and gorge on them. It is Easter bunny that comes to fill them. This custom initially started in Germany and gradually spread to America and other parts. Custom has it that if the children were found to be good then the kids would find colored eggs laid in a nest by the bunny.
