Church Christmas Plays |
| Church is taken to be the most sacred place to conduct the celebration of Christmas. The sanctity and decorum of the place is maintained while lighting it up with the modern look out. |

|
Church Christmas plays are the special plays that are performed within the holy environment of the church. The plays reflect the true spirit of the Christmas and evoke the aesthetic beauty of the season. The Church Christmas plays are generally inspired from the stories of the Bible and again bring into the light the Nativity events.
The modern world however has tried to give the stories a new blending but the distinct feature of the plays lies in the fact that they still reflect the same warmth of the season.
The Gift of the Magi is termed to be one of the most popular Church Christmas plays. The story by O Henry has been given a touching stage adaptation. The play deals with the story of Jim and Della. |

The Christmas time is on and both of them are short of money to buy presents for each other. The couple sells off their most valuable possessions to buy each other presents. Della sells off her brown wavy cascade of hairs to buy Jim a platinum chain while Jim to buy a beautiful tortoise shell comb to Della sells away his golden watch. At the end of the play both realize the fact that more than gifts it is their world of love that is more precious to them. Love is there in their hearts and gifts are only a part of the material look. To collect more information on church Christmas plays please log on to our site Christmas Carnivals.
