China has been associated with producing the world famous Bone China Spode. It is named after the name of its inventor, Josiah Spode, who in 1784 perfected the process of blue under glaze printing on earthenware from hand-engraved copper plates. Later, he went on to discover Bone China, which became much accepted across the world. Now 200 years later bone china still remains the most popular base for the production of classy patterns and everyday dinnerware.
