“S is for the star that shone so bright”; “while shepherds watch their flocks by night, they see a bright new shining star”. The word star is sung in almost all the Christmas carols. It is related to the story of birth of Jesus. The one brightening star that led shepherds from far away lands on a long journey to see a baby. The Christmas star signaled the birth of Jesus to faraway people. It filled them with wonder when they first realized a king had been born. The light of that star led them to the light of the world, the real Christmas Star, Jesus Christ himself.
