Nightmare Before Christmas is the first ever-made full-length stop-motion animated film. It is actually a poem written by Tim Burton who wrote it while working as an animator at Disney in the early 80’s.
The storyboard of the film juxtaposes Christmas town and Halloween town in a beautiful manner. The plot develops with the accidental stumbling of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin king of Halloween town, to the Christmas town in a Christmas season. In the Christmas town he comes across some of the integrities of Christmas that fascinates him a lot.
He therefore decides to have Christmas in the Halloween town also from the present year onwards. Jack, an elegant, spider-like skeleton, eventually envisions himself in the role of "Sandy Claws", his malapropism for Santa Claus. This puts Santa Claus in trouble and creates a nightmare for all the kids.
