The whole point of celebrating Christmas is to enable us to take some time out and celebrate the beautiful occasion with family and friends. Now, the celebrations cannot be complete if you do not get involved in making some new crafts with fun Christmas projects. Having fun, during the holidays is the best way for us to unwind, relax and rejuvenate with your near ones at Christmas time. So, it doesn’t matter what you are doing during the holidays. Whether it is decorating the house, buying gifts, cooking new dishes, making Christmas crafts or any others, you must ensure that you have lots of fun with your family and friends.

Fun Christmas projects for kids

  • Making Christmas jar lids is one fun project which any kid will love to do.

  • The supplies needed to do this project are some jars, paint (lead free), mid and small sized fabric yo-yo, thread, needle and eyelet trim.

  • To begin with, paint the jar with the lead free paint which you have. Cut the fabric in the size of the complete jar leaving an extra half inch all around.

  • Around the circle sew a narrow pre-gathered eyelet to cover the rough edge of the fabric. After that, put the small and medium yo-yo’s on the circle, take a few stitches through the layers to hold it properly.

  • You can now place it over the ring of the jar and screw the ring on the top.

Family fun Christmas projects

  • The family can come together and make some delicious edible Christmas tree that everyone will love to have a bite of.

  • The materials needed for making this edible tree are sugar cookie recipe, cookie cutters shaped like a star, food coloring in the colors yellow, red, blue and green, icing sugar and an icing bag.

  • Make sugar cookies shaped like stars using the recipe that you know, dye them in green color.

  • Now stack the stars starting from the largest to the smallest alternating points of the stars, to resemble a Christmas tree.

  • Use the food color, dye the icing and then drop it on the top of the stars using the icing bags.

  • You will have some lovely multi-colored Christmas ornaments and you can eat them too. This can be a good gift idea for someone who loves to eat cookies.

Fun Christmas projects for students

  • Making some star Christmas card is an entertaining activity for students.

  • To make this card, they will need stickers, blank cards, scraps of card paper, star shaped stickers, buttons and sequins etc for embellishments. Draw a Christmas tree lightly with a pencil on the blank card.

  • Now, you can ask the students to fill up the drawing with the star shaped stickers.

  • You can even use stickers in the shape of circle, squares etc to make the card.

  • It is not just the shape of a Christmas tree that you can make, other holiday symbols like Santa, star etc can also be drawn on the card and decorated with the sequins and stickers.
