A Christmas Tree
One little star at the top of the tree
Two little presents underneath for me
Three silver ropes twisted around the tree
Four colored lights shining prettily
Five shining lights flowing silvery
Oh, what a sight for us to see!
We'll decorate the Tree (Farmer in the Dell) is a "Heigh-ho" Christmas tree poem bringing out the spirit of Christmas within each one of us. it reminds one of the day we observe the Noel with our platters dressed with pies, candies, cookies and tuning uor voices to carols and hymns.
The Vision the Tree that was Me
I saw a tree so tall and straight
It almost reached to the heavenly gate
I was very close to that tall tree
I became the tree, and the tree became me A fire was burning all around
Pearline Wagner
This poem is introspective and a reflection unto the human state in so far as that it urges God to shelter the poet herself like her guardian angel.
