Christmas is unimaginable without the 1993 movie Nightmare before Christmas. Christmas Carnivals is here with all that you need for ‘The Nightmare before Christmas' Movie. It is about the inhabitants of Halloween Town who kidnap Santa Claus and take over Christmas one year, and the chaos that follows.
The film is directed by Henry Selick and written by Tim Burton. Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, gnomes and goblins of Halloween town to help him observe Christmas instead of Halloween but can't get it quite right.
The film was originally produced by Disney as the next generation of filmmaking. By the time the trailer was released, the production team had changed (Touchstone Pictures, a division of Disney), and the comparisons to Walt Disney as the new great animator were gone. Rumors that were flying around were that Disney did not make PG films. Michael Eisner, the then CEO and President of The Walt Disney Company, found the film 'too dark for kids' and had it done by Touchstone. In October 2006, the film will be re-released in 3-D under the Walt Disney Pictures banner.
Tim Burton has said that the original poem was inspired after seeing Halloween merchandise display in a store being taken down and replaced by a Christmas display. The tagline reads “A ghoulish tale with wicked humor and stunning animation”. Check out more at
