Every year it dons a special festive look for a chic Victorian Christmas. David C. Humphreys built the original 3-cove structure in 1848. About 2 decades later, in 1866, Augustus D. Rodgers bought the house and enlarged it. Now the dwelling has two parlors. The building was donated to the Alabama Constitution Village Foundation by Coca-Cola, Inc. and moved to its present location. Every Christmas it is decorated in Victorian holiday finery.
Every Saturday during the holiday season, children can enjoy “Tiny Tim’s Porch”, which is a holiday make-and-take craft area. The beautiful dining room was decorated by the leading names in the flower market and is available for luncheons for up to 25 people by reservation. Enjoy a Victorian Christmas complete with all the add-ons! Join in celebratory arts and crafts, storytelling, garden and house trails and hear talks on how the Victorians celebrated Christmas.
