Christmas at home with mom. This is a rare sight these days. None of the kids would want to spend their holidays with their beloved mom though they call her beloved and give her a peck on the cheeks. Consumerism has wrath havoc on our lives.

The very essence of our being and our sense of worth and belonging are diminishing by the years.Children have come to treasure their toys and gifts that they receive during the festive season over and above their family and mother's affection and care simply goes unnoticed. The very concept of friendship and nuptial love is so overemphasized that hardly do we get enough time from our daily schedule to reminiscence about the days and moments when our mothers had been by our side and how they had stood by thick and thin during our hard and difficult days and the merry ones too.
Though a number of songs and dramas are increasingly being dedicated to mothers and though this very concept is being churned and tossed to create awareness among masses, the results it has yielded is satisfactorily poor. The old proverb ' Charity begins at home" holds good in this case as it is upon us as individuals to take up the responsibility to revolutionize our minds and pay a tribute to those ladies who have had to pass through a thousand trials and tribulations to make our lives worth living.
