Christmas Carols – Christmas Carols are considered as traditional Christmas music. The church choirs and the surrounding church artists play this Christmas music. Previously the church banned Christmas Carols for their non-Christian origin. But later it was reintroduced. Songs with religious significance are known as Christmas hymns. The Christian-centered "O Come All Ye Faithful" and the famous "Deck the Hall” are found on popular Christmas Holiday Music albums.
Secular Christmas Holiday Music - Secular Christmas Holiday Music are Christmas songs despite their no mention about Christmas or such related things. These songs include traditional favorites such as "Winter Wonderland". Winter Wonderland" is a pop standard written in 1934 by Felix Bernard and Richard B. Smith. It has been recorded many different times by many different artists, most notably Perry Como. Due to its seasonal theme, "Winter Wonderland" is often regarded as a Christmas song, although the holiday itself is never mentioned in the lyrics. These songs fall into the generic "winter holiday" classification, as they carry no religious connotation at all. "Jingle Bells", originally "One Horse Open Sleigh", is one of the best known and commonly sung secular Christmas songs in the world.
Movie Based Christmas Music - Some songs of more recent vintage, often introduced in films, are specifically about Christmas, but are typically not overtly religious, and are not typically classified as Christmas carols. The archetypal example is 1942's "White Christmas. White Christmas, a song of peace and yearning for the war-torn public during the darkest days of World War II remains as the best-selling Christmas single of all time.
