Likewise the Christmas tree star history has its roots in the Bible, as it is stated in the Bible itself that it was a star that guided the three magi to the birthplace of Jesus. Thus the star, which became an inherent part of the Christmas celebrations, was placed at the top of a Christmas tree. It was Martin Luther, the founder of the Protestant religion, who revived the stars with the help of candles. He set those candles on the branches of a Christmas tree in order to get the whole tree lighted up.
