Christmas Flowers Bouquet

Christmas Flowers Bouquet
The twelfth month of the year is very endearing to us because it’s the Christmas season. With Christmas comes the season of celebration and gift giving. Gift giving is an essential part of Christmas when people exchange gifts. This custom has gained momentum slowly in the wake of commercialization when people rush to buy expensive gifts for friends and family.

However, myth has it that it was flowers from two homeless boys that outweighed all the fancy gifts bought by the three wise men who traveled far to see the newly born Jesus Christ. This is why Christmas flowers bouquet make for an appropriate Christmas gift.

Flower bouquets are just a bunch of flowers tied together in an appealing manner. You can buy these bouquets of natural flowers from flower shops. However, making an artificial one your own would be very exciting. Here is a simple method:

Materials Required:

  • Two round colorful laces about 6 inches long

  • Two green leave shaped paper laces
    • Pencil, Paper clip, glue, a pair of scissors

    • Green card stock

    • Hole punch

    • 1-2 inch green pipe cleaner.

    Instructions:

    • Lay a colored lace flat on the palm of your hand.

    • Press the eraser end of a pencil into its center and gather up the lace into a ruffle.

    • Repeat with the second lace.

    • Place 1 ruffled lace on top of the other to form the flower.

    • Wrap the laces tightly with one end of the pipe cleaner. If you want a stronger bond, wrap tightly 1 or 2 times, then add glue to the doilies and continue to wrap over the glue. Allow the glue to dry.

    • Cut a heart-shaped leaf from green card stock. Use a Hole punch to make a hole near the bottom. Write your message on the leaf. Slide the pipe cleaner stem through the hole and add a dot of glue where the leaf rests against the stem. Use a paper clip to hold the leaf in place until the glue dries.
