Christmas Eve On Sesame Street

Christmas Eve on Sesame Street is an endearing story about Christmas for children though it is enjoyed by the adults too. It has three main plots or storylines. Some of the characters are Oscar the Grouch, Big Bird, Kermit the Frog. There are of course other characters. In the main story, Oscar the Grouch (muppet
with green body and without a nose and lives in a trash can) tells Big Bird (he is yellow and huge at eight feet and two inches) that there will be no Christmas presents if Santa Claus is unable to get down chimneys. Big Bird is upset. He seeks the help of Kermit the Frog (another muppet character) to ask children how Santa does it. He receives varied response.

Big Bird is very upset, who can conceive of Christmas without the gaily wrapped gift packages? Patty, the Bird’s friend unsuccessfully comforts him. The residents spend the whole night, very worried, looking for Santa Claus. Big Bird after some time gets fed up with the cold outside and tries to go inside the apartment building to warm up. Two other characters in the story, Gordon and Susan make sure he stays inside the apartment by showing that there were indeed presents for all. Christmas on Sesame Street was very popular and now, some of the characters like Grouch are famous and popular with the preschool and young children.

In the meantime, Cookie Monster tries to communicate with Santa Claus. He wants cookies for Christmas but eats the pencil, typewriter, and telephone that he tries to use. The other plot revolves round Bert and Ernie who have no money to buy Christmas presents for each other. Christmas Eve on Sesame Street chronicles how the characters spend Christmas Eve.
