Christmas Animal Lovers

Christmas Carnivals » Christmas Creativity For Kids » Christmas Animal Lovers

With a handful of paper hearts, your child can round up some unforgettable pachyderms or romantic rodents to relay his Valentine's messages. With Christmas Carnivals, you're offered all the trivia relating to Christmas Animal Lovers, a project that requires: cardboard, Colored paper or card stock, Pencil, Glue stick, Googly eyes and stickers, Colored markers, Pushpin and Ribbon or string.

Cut a heart-shaped template out of thin cardboard. Your child can trace around it in pencil too. To make a mouse, cut out colored paper or card stock hearts- for the body, and the head; glue them. To accent the ears, glue a different shade of paper semicircles to the upper curves of the head. Fold the ears to stand them upright. Attach eyes and a sticker nose. Use the pushpin to make a hole for the tail. Thread ribbon or string and knot the ends to keep them from slipping back. Print a Valentine message on the trunk!

For an elephant, trace around the template; before cutting out the shape, draw a curved trunk that extends straight from the bottom of the heart. Cut out the head as one section and flip it over to hide the pencil lines. Glue the tips of two heart-shaped ears to the back of the head. Attach googly eyes and decorative stickers. Then add your message. For all the fun crafts, tune in to Christmas Carnivals Christmas Animal Lovers.
