Some of the Free Christmas Cookie Recipes are:
Lemon Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of granulated sugar
I cup of solid vegetable shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
Additional granulated sugar
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 350 F and grease baking sheets.
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In large mixer bowl, beat sugar and shortening until fluffy.
Stir in dry ingredients, then lemon juice.
Mix well.
Drop onto prepared baking sheets, 2" apart.
Sprinkle with additional sugar.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until it gets a light brown in color.
Quebec Maple Date Cookies
Ingredients:
3 cups of whole-wheat flour
1-teaspoon of baking powder
1-teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup of chopped pecans
1 cup of butter, softened
1 1/2 cups of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup of chopped date
3 eggs
Procedure:
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Stir together the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Add nuts and dates and mix well.
Cream the butter and gradually add maple syrup and eggs.
Gradually add the flour mixture until well incorporated.
Drop by teaspoons on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
