Christmas is a festival that is celebrated by all. People especially in the west celebrate the festival of Christmas with great pomp and vigor. Connecticut is a state in the New England region of the United States. Various shows and events are organized at the time of the festival of Christmas in Connecticut.

The Christmas Town Festival is celebrated in Bethlehem, which is known as the Connecticut’s Christmas Town. The festival events of this place include hayrides, caroling, taking picture with Santa Claus and a performance by a local bell girl choir. Horse drawn wagons circle the town during this festival. The Bethlehem Post Office plays an integral role as the people in large numbers gather here to receive their holiday cards and packages stamped with Bethlehem postmark
Christmas in Connecticut is filled with events. Some of these events are as follows:
- The Black Nativity is performed on the second and third weeks of December at the Dodds Hall Theatre on the University Campus.
- Groton White Lights Holiday Parade takes place at 5.00 pm on the second Saturday in the month of December The Old Saybrook Christmas Torchlight Parade and Muster takes place on the same day at 6.00 pm
- The Montville Holiday Light Parade heads down Route 32 through town at dusk on the first Sunday in December. The Niantic Light Parade heads down Main Street just after dark on the second Sunday in December.
- The Hartford Chorale and Hartford Symphony Orchestra performs the Messiah in early December at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts.
- Santa Lucia Festival is held the first Friday in December at Emanuel Lutheran Church.
- Sights and Sounds of Christmas is held at the Black Rock Congregational Church
- United Technologies Symphony on Ice is held at the Hartford Civic Center in early December.
